About FSG ,Family Support Group

The Family Support Group or (FSG) is a voluntary organisation and registered charity that provides emotional and practical support for families in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The Family support group was first launched in 1995 as a project from the volunteer centre but later became and independent charity in April 1999.

Families are referred to the Family Support Group from different professional agencies and support groups. Many families contact us directly.

The Family Support Group also offer a variety of volunteer help in and around the family home. Our volunteers can offer:

Practical Childcare help
Emotional Support
A listening ear
Provide links to other services that may be of help e.g. local group activities and general family resources in the community.

The Family support groups deals with family issues such as

Domestic Violence
School exclusions
Parents recovering from alcohol and drug dependency
Children with disabilities
Asylum seekers
Child protection
Parents suffering from depression
Parents with mental health difficulties
