Re-survey

Home About Contact Meetings Archive Markers

In 2019 it was decided to re-survey the control markers. After 15 years in an exposed environment there will be some deterioration due to the salt spray as well as possible storm damage or miss-use. The survey GPS equipment was not available so it was not possible to check the accurate location however, a more detailed survey of the area around the posts would set a benchmark when looking at the evolving environment around each marker.

A protocol to be used when visiting each marker was devised and this can be downloaded by clicking here. A few points were reserved as low-impact sites where only minimal data was collected to preserve the sensitive environment around the marker.

As each marker was visited a report was produced showing the results of the re-survey and these reports will be extended after future visits to the marker.

The table below lists all the control markers. Those in blue are active links to the re-survey report for that marker.
